Gandalf Crescent Reserve is a neighbourhood playground in Paraparaumu, with swings, a tunnel slide and a climbing dome forming the core of the play area, backed by a climbing frame, see-saws, a small carousel and an abacus panel for younger children. A gate at the back of the playground leads directly onto the Te Roto Wetland Reserve walking path, letting families extend the visit with a nature walk around the wetland.

This is a pleasant playground with a large climbing frame, two seesaws, a baby/toddler swing, two big swings, a mini spinning round, and a picnic table with a kids naughts and crosses next to it. Well kept, in a quiet street with parking outside. At the back of the playground is a fence and a kiddi lock gate to the wetlands which is a small loop walk, can be done in 10 mins with little kids (walking at their pace!)

I like that the area is mostly fenced in. There is a short walk path just outside of the gate that circles a wee pond. No rubbish, very clean. …
