George Young Reserve Playground

George Young Reserve Playground in Witherlea, Blenheim, is a simple neighbourhood playground close to the Wither Hills Farm Park, with a climbing frame pitched at over fives and swings for younger children.

A wooden multi-play structure with slide and a swing set with an infant seat make up the playground, on an artificial and bark surface.

There is no shade directly over the play equipment, though nearby trees give some cover for seating. Street parking is available on the surrounding residential streets.

History and Cultural

The reserve is named after a former head gardener at Marlborough District Council, who contributed to the beautification of Blenheim.
