Lovely little playground that also has fitness equipment built in so parents can workout while the kids play. A lovely walking track along the river which is part of the river walk.
Hayes Paddock
Hayes Paddock 2B Jellicoe Drive, Hamilton East, Hamilton 3216
Why these ages?
Playground sits directly on the Waikato River bank with an adjacent beach and jetty - reviewers describe it as their swim spot with 'kids constantly pop manus off the dock'. That's a real drowning risk for an unsupervised toddler; no fence between play area and river. Infant swing, basket swing and small carousel are toddler-appropriate on artificial grass, but the water proximity dominates. Excellent for primary-age kids who can be trusted near water. Cafe onsite is a plus.
Access notes
Description explicitly states the artificial surface is pram and wheelchair friendly across the play area and the flat terrain between the carpark and equipment is easy to navigate, though accessible parking and a dedicated accessible toilet are not confirmed.
