Why these ages?

Reviews confirm 'fully fenced and secured play area is perfect for younger children'. Separate junior fence + shade sails + water play inside junior area, all-abilities design with poured rubber. Lake Rotoroa borders the site but junior fence contains the drowning-adjacent risk. Massive main play area handles primary-age kids well.

Accessibility
Wheelchair accessible
+ Step-free path to the play+ Poured rubber surface (firm for wheels)+ Supportive swing seat (high-back, basket or nest)+ Wheel-on roundabout / carousel
Access notes

Description explicitly says continuous rubber surfacing and a boardwalk let wheelchairs and strollers move through the play area as easily as walking feet, plus an in-ground carousel with stable easy-to-sit seats and an accessibility swing, a transfer in seat rather than a swing the chair rolls onto.

Fantastic playground for kids of all ages. We drove down from Pukekohe for the day. Well worth the trip. Kids had a blast and we had a picnic by the lake. The cafe is expensive but otherwise, a great day out

There are so many rides and play by age, so there is a playground lake right in front of you where you can play regardless of age, so the view is very good

Hamilton Lake Playground is a fantastic family-friendly destination that offers a fun and engaging experience for children of all ages. Located within the beautiful Hamilton Lake Domain, the playground is a hidden gem that combines natural beauty with great recreational facilities. One of the standout features of the playground is its size and variety of equipment. There’s something for everyone, from toddlers to older kids. The younger ones can enjoy swings, slides, and a variety of climbing structures designed for their age group, while older children can explore more challenging play equipment, including larger climbing frames and adventure-style obstacles. Absolutely massive playground with tons to do. Slides, merrygorounds and obstacles galore. Different playgrounds for different ages also here so bring any kiddo and enjoy the lake. When I was a kid this was all just grass so it was amazing getting to see it transformed into a mega playground. Big slide gone though :(

I love this playground. It has so many elements to keep both kids & adults happy. There are many toilet facilities spread around the lake as well as picnic tables & seating. There is a BBQ on the innes common side of the lake & lots of opportunities for fitness purposes. Sometimes, it gets a bit windy on the kiddies playground side, so be sure to take a warm jacket just in case. There is a nice field area that is big enough to kick a ball around, which is located next to the shop area. The parking can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes. However, there is parking around most of the lake. It's a nice walk anyway.

We really enjoyed our time here. The fully fenced and secured play area is perfect for younger children, and the other areas have so much to explore. Our little one really enjoyed the water plays, and we ended spending more time than planned.
