Always super busy on a nice day. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the reserve, the park and the shade of the big beautiful trees. Nice toilets and great beach across the carpark which is always busy. Sometime you can fund Mr Whippy in the carpark which is an added bonus.

Milford Reserve Playground
41 Craig Road, Milford, Auckland 0620
Why these ages?
Ship-themed playground on sand surface with basket + infant swings, embankment slide, sand play area, climbing net, balance beams. Shade sails cover main equipment. But Milford Beach and calm-water inlet are directly adjacent, and Craig Road angle parking runs along the reserve edge. Reviews confirm 'kids love climbing the rocks by the inlet and running across the reserve' - constant supervision needed for toddlers.
Access notes
Description explicitly states all play equipment sits on a sand surface, which is very difficult for wheelchair users to cross despite parking and toilets being available nearby. No accessible path or parking features are described.
