Redwoodtown Playground

Redwoodtown Playground, part of the wider Oliver Park in Blenheim, is one of the best equipped play areas in Marlborough, with a flying fox, a fenced under fives area with a timber fortress, a learn to ride bike track, and a full run of swings, seesaws, a pendulum swing, and an overhead ladder. The fenced toddler section makes it genuinely safe for younger children while older kids have the flying fox and bike track.

Equipment

The under fives area is fenced and includes a timber fortress, swings, a slide, and spring toys. Beyond it, a fenced learn to ride bike track, a flying fox, scale swings, seesaws, a pendulum swing, an overhead ladder, and modular play structures with slides cover a wide range of ages.

Practical Info

Public toilets, picnic tables, and seating are on site, with on street parking. Many of the trees planted around the playground are still young, so shade is currently limited to the picnic table, though it should improve as they mature. The wider 5.3 hectare Oliver Park also functions as a sports ground.
