Sladden Park playground is a small, bark-surfaced set on Bracken Street in Petone, within earshot of the Hutt River. It centres on a wooden multi-play structure with a slide, paired with a see-saw for younger visitors who want something simple to rock back and forth on, and it has long served as an easy, walkable after-school option for local families.

Though a small play area for kids but I loved the walking n sitting most . You won't find many people roaming around so can be good if you like to have few moments of calmness :) though not guranteed every time. Oh yes, it has a small duck pond as well ..lucky you

Small park but nice place to go to with kids. There is a large field as well to play rugby or soccer!

Love this place. I have raced model power boats here for many years on the river, a great challenging piece of water.

Lovely park, playing fields (football and cricket),lovely walking paths with a picnic table close to the river. There is also a boat ramp for entry into the river. Plenty of parking, can get busy on game days.

Lovely area. We had a picnic with our 3month old. Lots of shade under the trees. A nice playground i look forward to using when my bubs is older. A few picnic tables scattered around. There is a public toilet block as well if needed. And plenty of space to run around. Lots of people out with the dogs so that was fun to watch too.
