Access notes
Description explicitly states the play area is bark surfaced, a barrier for wheelchair users. Council has a proposed accessibility upgrade for Sladden Park but consultation has closed with changes not yet confirmed, so the current bark surface still stands. Off street parking is nearby.

Equipment
Sladden Park playground is a small, bark-surfaced set on Bracken Street in Petone, within earshot of the Hutt River. It centres on a wooden multi-play structure with a slide, paired with a see-saw for younger visitors who want something simple to rock back and forth on, and it has long served as an easy, walkable after-school option for local families.
