These playgrounds have been assessed as wheelchair accessible: a step-free route from parking or footpath to the play area, and a firm surface once you are there. That combination is what usually decides whether a visit works, more than any single piece of equipment. Playgrounds rated as partial access, typically step-free to the edge but with bark or sand underfoot, are listed separately on each playground page.

Assessments are made from playground descriptions, council data and photographs rather than an on-site audit by an accessibility professional, so treat them as a strong starting point rather than a guarantee. If you find one is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
